ABOUT BDI
MISSION & HISTORY.
Bernstein Development, Inc. (BDI) is a non-profit community-service organization located in the Hollywood/Caddo Heights area of the City of Shreveport. The organization was formed to serve these communities. Our targeted population is at-risk children and families in the site and surrounding communities (including Werner Park and Sunset Acres). BDI is committed to education, civic and social empowerment of individuals. Successful implementation of projects will provide for a more productive community.

Paradise Baptist Church
Paradise Baptist Church provides space usage and volunteers for various programs.
Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR)
SPAR offers space for learning and social action objectives outside of our site.
LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport provides resource persons for presentations, parent seminars, and program activities. LSUHSC-S also provides qualified professionals and paraprofessionals to speak to students on health related issues.
Shreveport Public Library
Shreveport Public Libraries publicizes programs via posters being placed at libraries in the targeted areas.
The Woman’s Auxiliary of the 13th District Association
The Woman’s Auxiliary provides resource persons, volunteers and materials for various programs.
Delta Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
The sorority provides resource persons, volunteers and materials for various programs.
